Eurofonik ° Interview with Sylvain Girault
Written by english on 13 mars 2019
In an eight-day festival taking place across Nantes, Eurofonik seeks to promote traditional European music with a twist. Though the goal is to showcase musicians from across Europe, this year Eurofonikpays special attention to Italian music — with dozens of live concerts, music projects and dance sessions to get involved with, it should be a week bursting with excitement and colour.
As the festival returns this Friday (18th March) for its 7th edition, Eurofonik is also offering a professional meeting on Friday 18th March to discuss the influence of immigration on music in Europe. The goal of this day is to recognise how diversity in our populations has influenced and enrichened European music in recent years. Sylvain Girault, one of the organisers, spoke with Liv Cowle about the topics of the day and the musicians invited to play.
The professional meeting takes place Friday 18th March from 9h30 til 18h — for more information, visit here.
