Written by english on 14 mars 2019
Tonight, 14th March 2019, sees Stereolux Nantes transport its audience to the heart of Romania, in a night dedicated to the food, culture and music of this wonderful country. The evening is due to open with a documentary, The Soldiers by Ivana Mladenović, to introduce the public to the culture and history of Romania, before offering a taste of the country’s traditional cuisine. The main event, of course, is the trio of musical acts taking to the stage later this evening: Golan, Karparov Not Kasparov and Corp. From house jazz to electronics, each group represents an aspect of the diverse and exciting Romanian music scene that has been slowly making its way across the national borders.
Before the big night, Liv Cowle spoke with Maria Toader, one of the event’s organisers, to find out more about Romanian culture, what we can expect from tonight, and the best festivals happening in Romania this summer.
The event is now sold out, but more information can still be found here.
