Zoom sur Londres #8 : Fighting back at the Feminist Library
Written by Redaction Nantes on 6 mars 2020
The feminist library was founded in 1975, in the midst of second wave feminism. In 2019 – after more than 40 years of serving the local community in Southwark – the library faced was facing eviction, but was saved by a mass crowdfunding effort.
We catch up with volunteers Mattie and Laura in the library’s new home in Peckham. Plus, we speak to Chloe, who was part of the all-female and non-binary construction team that helped to make it happen.
