Hermine Vidovic works at the Vienna institute for international economic studies. Her research focuses on labour markets and social policy. She is also country expert for Slovenia.
As a member of the European Union since May 2004 and of the Eurozone since 2007, Slovenia is an advanced, independant and stable country. The industrial sector represents 28.77% of the GDP and employment (31.79%). Historically, the dominant industries in Slovenia have been the forestry, the textile and the metallurgical industries. Are they nowadays still important for the slovenian economy?
