Festival Univerciné Britannique – Interview with Felipe Bustos Sierra
Écrit par english sur 13 décembre 2019
Following his talk at the University of Nantes, we had the chance to sit down with Felipe Bustos Sierra to talk about his documentary Nae Pasaran (2018).
The film tells the story of a group of Rolls Royce workers in East Kilbride, Scotland who stage a strike to protest against the dictatorship in Chile in the 1970s. Felipe Bustos Sierra brings the Rolls Royce workers together with those in Chile who felt the effects of this strike.
The touching story of working-class solidarity was met with a great round of applause at its showing at the Katorza Cinema in Nantes.
In the interview above, Felipe Bustos Sierra talks to us about the documentary from its conception to its first screening, and how it has now become a symbol for people in Scotland and all over the world.
