Culture Shock – Poland
Written by english on 13 janvier 2020
Culture Shock is a new series that we have launched on Euradio. Each week we take one European country and put it under the spotlight, looking at its musical and cultural outputs. Each day there are two instalments of the show; one looking at music, and the other at culture. For our very first edition of 2020, we headed east and arrived in Poland!

For our first edition, Bella tries her best to tell you all of Poland’s history in under five minutes!
Katherine takes us on a history lesson about Polish music and how Chopin wrote his famous Nocturnes.
If you’re trying out veganism for the new year, it’s probably best to steer clear of Polish cuisine…
Poland has always been a bit of a trailblazer in Eastern Europe when it comes to modern music.

Katherine tells us about the less than easy life of unsung Polish jazz hero Eddie Rosner.
Hear all about the rather eccentric character that was Polish artist Stanisław Szukalski.
