Zoom sur Londres #5 : Brutalism and the Barbican

Written by on 4 mars 2020

The Barbican, in the heart of London’s financial district, is one of the most famous examples of Brutalist architecture. It is composed of 13 blocks of flats, 3 tower blocks, a school, a music college, several businesses, and the Barbican centre – the largest Arts centre in Europe.

Brutalist architecture – a brutal attack on the senses, or breathtaking art?
