L’application populaire du service de cartographie tchèque Mapy.cz a introduit un nouvel élément qui devrait assister dans la lutte contre la pandémie. Ceux qui consentent le partage de leur position participent à une collecte de données. Ensuite, l’application calcule la probabilité de chaque utilisateur qu’il contribue à propager le virus.
Aneta Kapuciánová, manageuse des relations publiques de l’entreprise qui a créé cette application, nous explique plus son fonctionnement.
“We evaluate whether there is a significant probability of infection. The application only matches such data if there has been significant contact (between two users, of which one of them has later tested positive for Covid-19, NDLR). (If a match is found, NDLR) we send a notification directly to the user through the application. We will not inform the user where or when the virus transmission could have happened, the application will only warn them that a high risk of infection over the past days has been detected. And then the user that receives the notice should socially isolate themselves, and if they have the signs of symptoms, they should contact their doctor. We have now also prepared the web interface, thanks to which people who test positive will be able to register themselves directly in the application.”
A ce jour, presque 760 000 des Tchèques utilisent l’application. Ces données ont été déjà utilisées face à la pandémie dans d’autres pays européens. En effet en Italie, en Allemagne et en Autriche, les opérateurs européens ont partagé leurs données avec les autorités de santé pour vérifier si les habitants se sont conformés aux règles de confinement.
