Du 6 au 8 novembre s'est tenue la 11e édition du Forum Mondial de la Démocratie. L'événement porté par le Conseil de l'Europe à Strasbourg a réuni des participants du monde entier pour débattre sur le thème "Démocratie = Paix?". Plusieurs intervenants sont venus présenter leur projet en faveur du renforcement de la démocratie pour tenter de remporter le Prix de l'innovation démocratique.
Parmi eux, l'Ukrainien Yevhen Popov, fondateur de PolitScanner, une application qui permet, grâce à la reconnaissance faciale des politiciens, un accès instantané à des informations clés telles que leur programme électoral et leur affiliation politique. L'objectif est ainsi de lutter contre la propagation des fake news en fournissant des informations fiables et facilement accessibles sur les différents représentants politiques.

From November 6th to 8th, the 11th edition of the World Forum for Democracy took place. The event, organized by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, brought together participants from all around the world to discuss the theme "Does Democracy = Peace?". Several speakers presented their projects aimed at strengthening democracy in an attempt to win the Democratic Innovation Award.
Among them was Ukrainian Yevhen Popov, founder of PolitScanner, an application that, through facial recognition of politicians, provides instant access to key information such as their electoral program and political affiliation. This innovative project aims to combat the spread of fake news by providing reliable and easily accessible information about various political representatives.
I believe that people need to have access to information it's one of the basic rule for elections. When people receive information in useful ways they are more engaged in political systems, they better understand what's going on, they better understand what political parties stand for, so they make more coherent decisions during the elections.
