Le jazz se meurt, selon le trompettiste Américain Théo Croker

American trompettist Theo Croker is way more than a jazz man. He defines himself as a storyteller who speaks through his trumpet, as a creative who refuses boundaries. Throughout the years, he made his way high, was awarded a few times, and kept experiencing music in all of its forms. He released a 7th album last summer, entitled Love Quantum, and is currently touring Europe.

“I’m just tired of the word Jazz. And the reason I’m tired of the word jazz is because I think it’s an inadequate description of this music. It’s a word that used to mean jism, it’s a slang word, it doesn’t have any essence to it at all. Now it’s a marketing term, it puts me into a box.”
