The Changemakers exhibition was displayed first in the corridors of the European Parliament in Brussels and then in Strasbourg. It highlights how contemporary artists are tackling the major social and political issues facing today's Europe, challenging restrictions on freedom of thought and expression. This selection of works includes pieces from the European Parliament's contemporary art collection, as well as creations by young artists from the Pop the Vote! Culture on the Ballot project, initiated by Culture Action Europe to encourage young people to participate in the 2024 European elections.

Jan Randacek, one of the exhibition's curators, talks about how the Changemakers exhibition opens up dialogue on democracy, migration and human rights. He also shares his vision of artivism, a combination of art and activism that encourages the public to think about and get involved in social and political issues.
